About Me

Hi there!

My name is Lara and I am an artist living and working in the California Bay Area. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with my Masters of Fine Arts with a focus in printmaking and sculptural bookbinding. After moving to the Bay Area in 2019, I decided to turn my focus towards my other media of choice, ceramics, and have been making pots ever since. Whether I am making prints, binding books or throwing pots, I like to focus on pattern, shape, and meditation through repetition. When I am not in my clay studio, you can find me knitting, gardening, or dabbling in basket weaving, dyeing, and any new craft I can get my hands on.
